The Yojo Acupuncture System

Why The Yojo Acupuncture System Works:

Stress, Digestion, and Blood Circulation are synergistic. Gut microbiota influences the stress level through vagus nerve and neurotransmitter. Regulating the imbalance in gut regulates hormone, which is essential for wellbeing. Chronic pain is influenced by blood circulation. Blood circulation does not improve if you have stress and poor digestion. The Yojo acupuncture system addresses these three elements together to activate a self-healing power within.  It allows you to achieve a long lasting effects on your health. We learn how to regulate stress, digestion, and blood circulation together with each patient, and develop a customized acupuncture treatment along with self-care routines and herbal supplements.

Step 1

Open and release

Most of us has a muscle tension or stagnation even if we don’t feel the pain. For example, a patient who feels fatigued or has headache often has the tension on shoulder and neck. A patient who has pain around the knee or feel cold easily often has the tension on lower back. Cupping is one of the many tools we use for most patients in the Step 1 – Open and Release so the body is relaxed and ready to react to the treatment better. This step is so important to make the entire treatment effective. Depending on a patient’s need, this step might involve the different tool. For example, we use Silver or Gold Teishin skin-touch tool to release the tight muscle on lower leg.  We also use mico-current e-stim machine to release a muscle nodule.

Step 2

Improve Circulation

Step 2 is where the strength of acupuncture comes in. We carefully analyze your constitution and symptoms and select the effective acupuncture points. There are many effective points from elbow to hand, and from knee to foot. For example, most patients are shocked for the first time that the neck pain decreases and the range of motion increases by doing Tuina and skin-touch Teishin. This is using the energetic path of the body which was documented 2000 years ago.

Step 3

Balance The Nervous System

Step 3 is to balance the Nervous system. Teishin skin-touch tool is used on head to release stress and balance the nervous system.

Step 4

Return to Source

In the step 2, the practitioner influences the body’s energy to move in certain way to release pain or improve the health condition. It’s important to make sure that the treatment is not ending in chaotic state. The last step is to return to source. In the traditional asian medicine, the source of the energy resides in the abdomen rather than the brain.  The use of skin-touch tools were documented over 2000 years ago and many acupuncture lineage in Japan have focused on refining the method.  Step 4 helps digestion, and helps the patient to feel grounded and keep the effects of treatment last longer.
